Seeing and Hearing COVID-19's Impact on Cities

• Purpose: This project worked with volunteers to record and capture the soundscapes of cities during the COVID-19 pandemic. We asked volunteers to re-trace paths taken by people who live streamed routes during times before the pandemic to reflect a baseline of soundscapes.

• Outcomes: Machine Learning (Keras), Geosaptial Analysis (Python Pandas, Geopandas, QGIS), Interactive maps (deck.gl) and project website
